Communication

At Gordon Education Centre we value the voice of each and every one of our students. All of our students have communication needs which require additional supports. At Gordon Education Centre we ensure every student:

• Has access to a PODD. The PODD is a book containing words and symbols which support communication between people.
• Has access to their preferred communication method. Some students are taught to use other high methods such as ProLoQuo2Go or PECS.
• Has a communication profile to ensure that we are targeting areas of need through our day to day teaching.
